In order to calculate the dimensioning of the heater, you will need the following information:
1. The exterior dimensions of the heated area in meters (Length x Width x Height)
2. The required average air temperature
3. The lowest temperature in the region where the heating equipment will be operated
4. The coefficient of thermal conductivity for the wall paneling from which the heated premises are made of:
Metal paneling | 8 |
Paneling of polymere materials | 6 |
Metal, aluminum, thermal insulation of 10 mm | 4 |
Metal, aluminum, thermal insulation of 30 mm | 1,5 |
Metal, aluminum, thermal insulation of 50 mm | 0,7 |
The formula for the calculation of the required performance of the air heater in recirculation mode:
W1 = W2 + W3
W1 - Required thermal performance of the heater.
W2 - Heat power required to heat the air in the given space
W3 - Heat loss (Heat Dissipation)
W1 = W2 + W3 | 1720 |
W2 = m*C*T , m = V*p | 520 |
W3 = k*S*T | 1200 |
Meaning:
C - Specific heat of air | |
T - The gradient of temperatures, C (difference in temperature)
V - The space, m3 | |
p - Air density of 1.3 kg/m3 at 25С
k - The coefficient of thermal conductivity
S - The area to be heated in m2 |
